Sports Injuries
Common sports injuries that we are able to treat includes (here’s to name a few, but there are many more!):
Sprains and Strains:
Sprains: Injuries to ligaments (tissues connecting bones to bones).
Strains: Injuries to muscles or tendons (tissues connecting muscles to bones).
Tendonitis:
Inflammation of a tendon, usually due to overuse or repetitive motion.
Rotator Cuff Injuries:
Injuries to the muscles and tendons surrounding the shoulder joint, often from repetitive overhead motions.
Knee Injuries:
Including injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), and meniscus.
Achilles Tendon Injuries:
Injuries to the Achilles tendon at the back of the ankle, often associated with running and jumping activities.
Tennis/Golfer's Elbow:
Inflammation of the tendons on the outer (tennis elbow) or inner (golfer's elbow) side of the elbow.
Plantar Fasciitis:
Inflammation of the plantar fascia, the tissue on the bottom of the foot, often causing heel pain.
Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (Runner's Knee):
Pain around the kneecap, often caused by improper tracking of the patella within the knee joint.
Bursitis:
Inflammation of the bursae (fluid-filled sacs that cushion joints), commonly affecting the shoulder, knee, or hip.
Impingement Syndrome:
Compression of tendons or bursa within a joint, commonly seen in the shoulder or hip.
Turf Toe:
Sprain of the ligaments around the big toe joint, often occurring in sports played on artificial turf.
